Welcome to ZGMA
The Zimbabwe Gospel Music Awards (ZGMA) is more than an event — it is a movement. Founded by LC Arts Organisation and registered with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, ZGMA was created to give gospel music a dedicated platform of recognition.
We shine a spotlight on artistry and ministry, while also promoting innovation, professionalism, and growth in Zimbabwe’s creative economy. From established legends to rising voices, ZGMA honours the people behind the music and inspires the future of gospel.
Highlights from 2025
In April 2025, the inaugural Zimbabwe Gospel Music Awards lit up Casino Marina, Longchen Plaza, with a night of worship, celebration, and recognition. More than one hundred nominees competed across multiple categories, with winners such as Michael Mahendere, Dorcas Moyo, Mambo Dhuterere, and The Charambas, just to mention a few, receiving the honour they deserve.
Church leaders, SMEs, and partners were also recognised for their contribution to gospel ministry. The success of this first edition proved one thing: Zimbabwe is ready for a gospel-specific awards platform.
Looking Ahead: ZGMA 2026
As we enter our second edition under the theme “Rising Higher, Shining Brighter”, we are committed to going further than ever before. Expect more categories, greater participation, improved technical production, stronger partnerships, and a bigger stage for gospel talent at home and abroad.
This is more than an event. It is a legacy in the making.
Founder’s Message
When I saw the passion, the sleepless nights, the artistry, and the spiritual hunger in Zimbabwe’s gospel music scene, I knew there had to be a stage that properly honours both the art and the heart. That vision led to the birth of ZGMA.
During the first edition, I was humbled by how many artists, creatives, churches, SMEs, and supporters said ‘this is needed’. We saw barriers broken, new opportunities born, and voices uplifted.
As we launch the 2nd Edition under the theme ‘Rising Higher, Shining Brighter’, I commit to advancing this platform with even greater excellence, intentionality, and collaboration. We will go higher; we will shine brighter.
